Bringing a long established metal paint brand up to date

When AkzoNobel acquired the Hammerite brand, they wanted to develop it to reflect changes in the market.

First the core range was repositioned to appeal to a broader global consumer base. The Hammerite shield was updated with imagery to make the packaging more accessible and consumer friendly. Then a new sustainable water-based formula called Ultima was created to further extend the reach of the brand.
